SHA' PTA' - Fantastic Fellas Friday - Joe Biden (Will He Be President?)
Friday Nov 06, 2020
Friday Nov 06, 2020
This Fantastic Fellas Friday we are celebrating Joe Biden. Due to his over 30 years of service in politics and years in the Senate, I decided to play his DNC Speech. This speech reminds us what type of Biden/Harris administration we can expect to get if Joe Biden is elected as President of the United States of America. We will hold Biden/Harris accountable to their promises if they win. I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

SHA' PTA' - Wonderful Women Wednesday - CHIKA Nigerian-American Rapper, Model & Actress
Wednesday Nov 04, 2020
Wednesday Nov 04, 2020
This Wonderful Women Wednesday after the election celebrates Jane Chika Oranika, known in the rap community as CHIKA. Chika first gained widespread attention following an Instagram post from November 9, 2016, the day after the 2016 United States Presidential Election. In the video, she covers herself in pale foundation, saying "African-American? Never felt that, never heard of that, never tasted that, never smelled that". Rollingstone.com calls her the artist you need to know. Born March 9 in Montgomery, Alabama, Chika is a Nigerian-American rapper, model, and actress. She did a song entitled "Can't Explain It" featuring Charlie Wilson, which displays her R&B talent. Early in 2017, she created the #EgoChallenge, using the Beyoncé song of that title to promote body positivity and self-love. That year she also released a Pride-themed remix of Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" as well as a poetry EP. In 2018, Chika went viral for a freestyle addressed at Kanye West over West's own "Jesus Walks" beat. The freestyle concerned West's support for Donald Trump and caught the attention of Jada Pinkett Smith, Sean "Diddy" Combs, and Erykah Badu. Chika identifies as bisexual and addresses her sexuality in her music and videos. She was featured in JoJo's song "Sabotage" which reached number 18 on the Billboard US R&B Digital Downloads. Chika released her debut single, "No Squares", in April 2019. The following month, at the invitation of guest host Lena Waithe, she performed "Richey v. Alabama", another of her songs, on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The song dealt with the state of Alabama's 2019 abortion bill. I kept saying for her to be so young (23), she reminded me of back in the old days, R&B and Rap singer combined. Chika had a small role in the 2020 Netflix Original film called Project Power and also in 2020, she was included on XXL's 2020 Freshman Class. In May 2019, Chika is featured in a Calvin Klein #MyCalvins advertisement, also writing poetry for the brand's S/S 2019 campaign. That same year, she participated in a Business of Fashion panel at Paris Fashion Week and posed for the December cover of Teen Vogue. She was recognized by Business of Fashion as one of the top 500 people shaping the fashion industry in 2019. I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

SHA' PTA' - Mysterious Malicious Melania? Monday - In Her Own Words
Monday Nov 02, 2020
Monday Nov 02, 2020
On this last Marvelous Motivating Monday before the election, I want those who have not voted yet to remember, this current administration is malicious. Malicious is defined as intending to do harm. For that reason, I am changing today’s special episode to Mysterious Malicious Melania Monday. Former best friend and adviser to Melania Trump author Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, tours the circuit she said to talk about her book entitled Melania and Me, clear her name of false charges/allegations, and gives first-hand audio and comments of her opinion on what she calls the administration’s corrupt White House. The First Lady and Stephanie talk about the immigrant kids in cages, (now over 500) missing parents, and how she feels they are better off and calls the migration scams by the parents. Melania discusses her notorious green coat with quote “I REALLY DON’T CARE. DO U?” Her platform as First Lady is Cyber Bullying, as her husband is the biggest cyber bully in the world. In Melania’s own voice, listen to how she feels regarding her role as First Lady and how she has beef with Ivanka and how she and Stephanie blocked Ivanka’s view during inauguration being petty. Since Megan McCain questions Stephanie’s intentions, I play Megan’s mother and John McCain’s widow Cindy McCain’s endorsement of Joe Biden with him live. Then, I play audio of Cindy when she went on her daughter’s show The View and discussed her decision to support the Biden/Harris ticket, while remaining a Republican. She even said she did some powerful work with Kamala Harris. I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

SHA' PTA' We Want Wellness Wednesday - Covid19 in Trump's Own Words
Wednesday Oct 28, 2020
Wednesday Oct 28, 2020
We switch this Wonderful Women Wednesday to We Want Wellness Wednesday Covid-19 In Trump’s Own Words. Wellness is defined as the state of being in good health. Usually we think of wellness as physical, but mental health wellness is more important than ever. Trump said we're now on our own and try not to die and ending pandemic is one of his accomplishments. Really? With the election less than one week away, we must stay focused on the Coronavirus. Lesley Stahl who interviewed Trump about the virus, had the coronavirus herself, so knew how it felt. Bob Woodward expose’s audio where Trump acknowledges knowing about the virus since January and called it a hoax. This deadly virus is affecting jobs, election voting decisions, mental health issues, in addition to stress and anxiety, just to name a few. Stimulus money is being held from those who need it while the virus is affecting their work. Adults, our children, grandparents, other relatives, and friends are finding it hard to survive and keep hope. We have Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas hitting us back-to-back for the remainder of the year, which are huge interaction holidays. How do we do things safely? Once we get this virus under control, we can be WELL again and rebuild and hopefully prosper. Who do you trust to lead us through this? As an Independent voter, I am asking you to PLEASE VOTE, YOUR VOTE MATTERS. In his own words, this is how the virus was, and still is being handled by our current administration and the Republican enablers. I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

SHA' PTA' - Marvelous Motivating Monday - Entrepreneur/Author Kabrina Amey
Monday Oct 26, 2020
Monday Oct 26, 2020
This Marvelous Motivating Monday is a call-in phone interview with entrepreneur and author Kabrina Amey who is Founder and CEO of Champion the Distance (www.championthedistance.com). She is an Arkansas native and mother of two who used her adversity to establish her organization. I purchased her amazing journal entitled: Black Royalty and here are quotes on the intro pages that I thought were very motivating: “Remember who you are. You were born for greatness; don’t stop at mediocre!” This also inspired me “If the goal is unity, then we must all understand the power that we collectively and individually bring to the table. We must focus on feeding our strengths while starving our weaknesses.” I open the episode with The Clark Sisters song Blessed and Highly Favored – Live because that is what Kabrina Amey truly represents. I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

IT’S A PITTSBURGH THING TODAY. This Fantastic Fellas Friday focuses on two young men who make Pittsburgh proud. Cedric Humphrey is a Senior at the University of Pittsburgh (PITT) who is studying Political Science and Economics with a French minor and a certificate in Transatlantic studies. He became recognized as he asked former Vice President and now Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden the famous question “besides you ain’t black, what do you have to say to young black voters who see voting for you as further participation in a system that continually fails to protect them?” He tells Don Lemon on CNN if his question to Joe Biden was answered. Chase Claypool is a rookie Wide Receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Born in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, 1 of 114 Canadians to make an NFL roster, went to college at Notre Dame. The Steelers drafted him 49th overall pick in the 2nd round in 2020. Chase set an NFL record in week 5 by becoming the1st Rookie to catch 3 touchdowns and run for another in a game. As of week 6, he joined the club of wide receivers who made NFL records for most touchdown by a wide receiver in first 5 games since 1970 tied with Randy Moss, Calvin Ridley, Willie Gault and former Steelers player Martavis Bryant. I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

SHA' PTA' - Wonderful Women Wednesday - Kamala Harris Part 2 Coronavirus
Wednesday Oct 21, 2020
Wednesday Oct 21, 2020
This Wonderful Women Wednesday is Part 2 of Marvelous Motivating Monday as we continue celebrating the Democratic Vice-President Nominee Senator Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris has spent the better part of two decades in public life notching up a long list of things she was the first to achieve: the first Black woman to be elected district attorney in California history, first woman to be California’s attorney general, first Indian American senator, and now, the first Black woman and first Asian American to be picked as a vice presidential running mate on a major-party ticket.. We listen to various audio about where she stands on policies and issues everyday people cares about. Since there are so many topics to address, I decided to solely focus on Covid19 a/k/a Coronavirus, because this one thing is affecting all of the day-to-day issues such as healthcare, unemployment, stimulus packages, schooling, traveling, wearing masks, and injustices as it affects people of color differently. She talks to MSNBC Rachel Maddow about her and Joe Biden’s take on these issues and questions Supreme Court Justice Nominee Judge Amy Barrett. Having these two powerful ladies communicate about this issue was interesting to me. Kamala has a way of making people think, stumble on their words, and re-evaluate their own believes in her questioning. These two ladies alone, is why I opened this episode with the woman anthem Run the World (Girls) by Beyonce'. Take it easy men, we love ya. I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

Today’s Marvelous Motivating Monday celebrates AKA Kamala Devi Harris. This is a two-part episode that talks about Kamala at the beginning of her life before politics. Part 2 focuses on politics and the coronavirus. I want people to know the person. We focus on who she is, not what she is or is about to become. I thought Mariah Carey’s song HERO was appropriate to start the episode. Whether you like her or not, she is seen as a hero in many people’s eyes, from all backgrounds. She is also inspiring to many young girls and grown women of all races and political affiliation. We talk about her Indian and Jamaican roots, as well as being a black little girl in America. Her childhood friends share their experience as her friends. One was quoted as saying “she did the work, there was nothing given to her.” I love why she was given her name. Her mother chose Kamala’s name as a nod both to her Indian roots—Kamala means “lotus” and is another name for the Hindu goddess Lakshmi—and the empowerment of women. “A culture that worships goddesses produces strong women,” Gopalan told the Los Angeles Times in 2004. Multi-racial, multi-cultural, multi-religious, she is the example of what America is about. I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. Friday Oct 16, 2020
This Fantastic Fellas Friday, we celebrate community activist and Pennsylvania State Representative Malcolm Kenyatta. Pennsylvania is now said to be the state that will decide who the next United States President will be. Unfortunately, the Republicans in the state legislature tried to quietly create and control a new election “integrity” committee giving them power to investigate the November 3, 2020 election and empower them to subpoena witnesses a/k/a voters and documents and initiate legal filings. Integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness and the state of being whole and undivided. It does not sound like the name of their committee fits their intent. Busted by Representative Kenyatta, Republicans are exposed for trying to steal the election for Donald Trump. Representative Kenyatta not only goes on MSNBC Rachel Maddow to expose this, but he defends his position in a heated legislature meeting. Upset that he is speaking the truth, the chairman tries, unsuccessfully, to have him removed from the chamber by security. We also reveal in Pennsylvania the issues with the mail-in ballot battle between both parties and how not using the required double envelope can disqualify your vote. I hope you enjoy the narratives, which explains what episodes are about, as well as the graphic attached to each episode, which I diligently search for to match each episode. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?
