SHA’ PTA’ - CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY MONTH - AMERICA’S HISTORY WEEK 1
Wednesday Feb 02, 2022
Wednesday Feb 02, 2022
EPISODE #147 – This WONDERFUL BLACK HISTORY WEDNESDAY, we talk about BLACK HISTORY MONTH. Today we focus on the basics such as themes, questions about general small facts. Famous quotes from famous people. Starting next week, we’ll focus on people then and now and how we contribute to America and the world. WHY DOES BLACK HISTORY MONTH EXIST? The answer lies with eminent American historian Carter G. Woodson (called the father of black history), who pioneered the field of African American studies in the early 20th century. Inspired by having attended a three-week national celebration of the 50th anniversary of emancipation in 1915, Woodson joined four others in founding the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History (ASNLH) to encourage scholars to engage in the intensive study of the Black past, a subject that had long been sorely neglected by academia and in U.S. schools. In 1916 Woodson began editing the association’s principal scholarly publication, The Journal of Negro History. In 1924, spurred on by Woodson, his college fraternity, Omega Psi Phi, introduced Negro History and Literature Week. Two years later, determined to bring greater attention to African American history, Woodson and the ASNLH launched Negro History Week in February 1926. WHY IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATED IN FEBRUARY? February is the birth month of two figures who loom large in the Black past: U.S. President Abraham Lincoln (born February 12), who issued the Emancipation Proclamation, and African American abolitionist, author, and orator Frederick Douglass (born February 14). Since the deaths of Lincoln and Douglass (in 1865 and 1895, respectively), the Black community had celebrated their contributions to African American liberation and civil rights on their birthdays. By rooting Negro History Week in February, Woodson sought to both honor the inestimable legacy of Lincoln and Douglass and to expand an already existent celebration of the Black past to include not only the accomplishments of these two great individuals but also the history and achievements of Black people in general. SHA’ PTA’ - Significance of the number 19
Wednesday Jan 19, 2022
Wednesday Jan 19, 2022
Episode #145 - We talk about THE NUMBER 19. I thought since today is the 19th and my birthday, I’d celebrate my favorite number, which is 19. I first want to shout out three WR in the NFL I am a fan of who all happened to have played in the playoff this past weekend and whose numbers are 19. John Sherman "JuJu" Smith-Schuste (Steelers), Tyshun "Deebo" Samuel Sr (49ers), and Amari Cooper (Cowboys). Now, what’s significant about 19? The numerology number 19 is both a starter and a finisher. The essence of 19 is self-determined, primarily focused on itself. While there is attention on the welfare of the human race, 19 determines for itself what should and should not be done for humanity. It's a starter because the digit 1 is a starter. It's a finisher because the digit 9 is a finisher. What 19 starts and finishes generally is determined by itself rather than determined by partnership or group resolution. 19 is often alone. The self-determination has so much force that 19 often feels alone even while interacting with others. The number 19, which is the combining of 10 and 9, usually denotes God's perfect order in regard to his judgment in the Bible. The names Job and Eve, if we substitute letters for numbers, add up to 19. What does the number 19 mean in relation to Israel? The United Kingdom split into two pieces after the death of Solomon. The piece referred to as Israel, or the Northern Ten Tribes, had Jeroboam as their first king (930 to 909 B.C.).Judah's first king was Rehoboam (930 to 913 B.C.). Including Jeroboam, Israel was ruled by nineteen (19) before God allowed them to be conquered by the Assyrians. They were conquered and taken out of the land as captives due to their many sins against the Eternal. Number 19 is an extraordinary number. In ancient times, it was known as the ‘Number of Surrender. The tarot card number 19 is The Sun, associated with happiness, self-confidence, and success. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY? LINKS BELOW FOR: APPLE, GOOGLE, PANDORA, AND SPOTIFY.

SHA’ PTA’ - WHAT THE WHAT WEDNESDAY - NOVAK DJOKOVIC, COVID and MASKS
Wednesday Jan 12, 2022
Wednesday Jan 12, 2022
Episode #144 – This WHAT THE WHAT WEDNESDAY, we talk about NOVAK DJOKOVIC & COVID-19 and N95 and KN95 MASKS. Djokovic admits false statement on Australia travel document. The tennis star also said he had participated in an interview and a photo shoot even after testing positive for the coronavirus, in an apparent violation of rules in his native Serbia. In his statement, Mr. Djokovic also addressed questions about the declaration he made on his visa paperwork that he had not traveled to any other countries in the 14 days before arriving in Australia. The paperwork warns of serious penalties for false answers to the question. His declaration had seemed to be contradicted by social media posts showing him traveling between Spain and Serbia. On Wednesday, he said his agent had made an “administrative mistake in picking the incorrect box.” “This was a human error and certainly not deliberate,” he said, adding that his team on Wednesday had “provided additional information to the Australian government to clarify the matter.” WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?
